Lady Gaga gives boy band touching One Direction advice after getting booed at the 2013 MTV VMAs! What's up guys thanks for finding ClevverMusic. At the 2013 Video Music Awards UK boy band One Direction won the Moonman for Best Song of the Summer for their latest single "Best Song Ever". And apparently the audience at Barclays Center in Brooklyn wasn't too happy about it. The audience started to boo and our Mother Monster was front row witnessing the chaos. After admitting to her pal sitting next to her that she didn't know that song 1D won for, she asked "are people booing them?" and surely it seemed they were. We see Gaga look frustrated shaking her head and looking up to watch 1D accept their award in front of the rowdy crowd. I guess there's a reason award shows are not usually held in Brooklyn, just saying! And what you didn't see on TV was Gaga deliberately getting up out of her seat after the booing to go talk to One Direction backstage: yes 1D and Gaga in the same room together. She was so torn about the critical boos that she marched up to the boys as they were recording a 'thank you' video for the fans and she exclaimed, "You guys were awesome! I don't know if you heard it, but if I heard what I heard out there, I just wanna tell you that you deserve every bit of success that you have, and don't you dare let those people boo you and I put that booing in my own show because I wanted to make a comment about that...I wanna leave right now..." and the boys were quite cute saying back to her "...it's ok! Thank you so much!" Aw Mother Monster! We can only imagine what was going through their heads as Gaga gave them words of wisdom, and we hope it's a moment they never forget!
