Also a brief explanation on my favorite video game genre, the role-playing game!
1. What is your favorite RPG?
Tough choice. It would be a three-way battle between Final Fantasy VIII, Suikoden II and Persona 4. Although many others follow closely, FF IV, FF VII, FF X, Kingdom Hearts, Xenogears, Chrono Trigger, The Worlds Ends With You, Dragon Quest IV, Earthbound, Mother 3, Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon, Tales of Graces F, Tales of Vesperia, Ys Oath in Felghana, Pokemon Crystal, Legend of Heroes Trails in the Sky Persona 3, Radiant Historia, The Dark Spire, SMT Strange Journey, Lost Odyssey, Valkyria Chronicles, Suikoden I, Lunar and and and....you see... Too hard! But seriously though, those three stand out!

2. What was your first RPG?
Final Fantasy VII, saw it a friends house for 30 minutes. Never had seen anything like it before, bought it the next day!

3. What type of RPG is your favorite? IE Action, Strategy, or Turn Based?
Turn-based. I like all kinds of RPGs but turn-based is my favorite.

4. Who is your favorite RPG Character?
Cactuar from the Final Fantasy series

5. Who is your favorite RPG Villain?
Cactuar from the Final Fantasy seri....in all seriousness, I cannot name the villain here because it would be massive spoilers for a little game called Persona 4. Also Luca Blight from Suikoden II comes to mind.

6. What RPGs would you like to recommend to people?
To get into JRPGs I would recommend a heavy dose of Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy VII and Suikoden I/II before moving on to the Shin Megami Tensei, Tales, Fire Emblem and Falcom games.

7. What RPG or RPGs do you dislike for one reason or another?
I have never really gotten grip on the Legend of Zelda series. (yea, yea, RPG, yes or no? I say yes). I have played multiple games and they are good. But the lack of story development is something I dislike.

Also quick thing, I am getting very disappointed about RPGs with only one playable characters (excluding Adol from Ys though). Yea, Square-Enix I am looking at you!

8. Best RPG Battle System?
The press-turn system in SMT and Persona games.
The ability learning system in Final Fantasy 9.
The permadeath in Fire Emblem.
The recruiting of characters in Suikoden.
The negotiating, recruting and fusing of demons in SMT.
The multi-layered fighting system in The Worlds Ends With You.
Hybrid this into one epic game revolving around time travel and sci-fi/cyberpunk elements and it is the BEST GAME EVAR!

9. Best RPG Story?
Persona 4. For more traditional medievil like stories, make it Suikoden II times.

10. Best RPG Soundtrack?
I f*cking love Shoji Meguro and Nobuo Uematsu. Cannot chose between these. Traditional versus modern J-Pop.

11. Finally, what was the last RPG you beat?
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers for the 3DS. A forgotten SMT game from the 90s which hasnt been treated perfectly when making the port to 3DS. Still a fun dungeon crawler but other recent Atlus endeavors where received more enjoyably like Etrian Odyssey IV, Persona 4 Golden and hopefully SMT IV.

EXTRA 12. What is your favorite Western RPG?
Yes, I really make the distinction between Western and Japanese RPGs. Two completely different beasts if you ask me. My favorites are the Mass Effect, Bioshock and Borderlands series.
