in ENGLISH: Hello music-enthusiasts and -lovers from all around the world, this video features slide guitar playing in the open D-major tuning and a tribute to songs like LITTLE RED ROOSTER and similar tunes sung and played by musicians like Howling Wolf (1910-76) or one of his idols Charlie Patton (ca. 1889-1934). Rockin' regards Framat

Lap steel and bottleneck solo performances on my Fender FR50 Resonator guitar and studio recordings with additional overdubs featuring my Gretsch G5700. The instrumentals include not only Blues but german folksongs with some Country and Western and oldtime blues done in an original way on a Hawaiian slide guitar :-) some recordings have a little jazzy feel, too. Can't describe it better. I hope you'll enjoy these short instrumentals.
Concentrating on sideman and unknown legends like JIMMY WILSON, ROY HAWKINS or WALTER BROWN (CONFESSIN' the BLUES is unfortunately not avaible on YTUBE at the moment) who did the lesser-known originals to the more commonly known covers by B.B. King, the ROLLING STONES or CHUCK BERRY for instance.
Featuring Detroit Bluesman EDDIE BURNS (1928-2012) and musicians connected with him like John Lee Hooker, Eddie's brother Jimmy Burns, Eddie Kirkland, Bobo Jenkins, the Funk Brothers, Harvey Fuqua, Louisiana Red, Little Sonny, Sonny Boy II and many more.+ some of the originals Eddie Burns had covered
Every Bluesfan knows stars like BOBBY BLUE BLAND or JOHN LEE HOOKER or knows tunes like TEXAS FLOOD (made famous by Steve Ray Vaughn). But who ever heard the original by LARRY DAVIS and knows the name of the leadguitarist of that classic (FENTON ROBINSON). Or who ever saw Bobby Blue Bland's long-time guitar-player WAYNE BENNETT live in action? Do you ever heard of lap steel guitar masters SONNY RHODES and FREDDIE ROULETTE? And that relativ unknown EDDIE KIRKLAND was the second guitarist (who did backing vocals, too) on some of JOHN LEE HOOKER's classic recordings from the early 50's. You'll find many other great musicians here if you are interested in. Do you know the name Percy Mayfield? No? But you sure know at least one of his compositions: HIT THE ROAD JACK. Check it out!

- on the James Cotton videos you can see & listen to the bassplaying of Charles Calmese who recorded with Muddy Waters in the late 70's. The Muddy Waters Band had two different members of the same name Luther Johnson: Luther "Snake boy" Johnson played with Muddy in the 60's and you can see him playing guitar on my playlist "Muddy in concert in the 60's" on "back at the chicken chack". Luther "Guitar Junior" Johnson played with the Muddy Waters Band in the 70's.
Here you find harmonica rack players who are playing harmonica and at least one other instrument simultanously. There is Hannes Coetzee from Southafrica who plays Slideguitar with a spoon in his mouth using it like a bottleneck - I did not know where to put him so he ended up in that playlist. You won't find Bob Dylan, Jimmy Reed or Donovan here but lesser known musicians who published their videos on youtube. BTW you'll find Jimmy Reed and Jesse Fuller in my playlist "Blues legends - solo or small groups performances".
