Grouplisting Upgrades?
chinopisces: Compared to other sectors of YouTube, I noticed the Group section is—to myself and others—in need of improvement. I read somewhere that YT will be adding new functionality to Groups, such as: a better interface, video linking in discussion threads, and more custom options. I will keep you guys posted on this.

You favorite character
chinopisces: Name your favorite Kurosawa character(s). I'm gonna sound typical, but I am in awe of Kambei Shimada. He is the deepest and most mysterious of all the Seven. To be fair, I also love the character of the 'Priest' in the Lower Depths. His wisdom rings true in my ears in many situations. Hmm. It seems I revere old wise men above all others or something. lol

Kurosawa on the silver screen
TheLMack: Have you you had the opportunity to see any AK films in a theater? About five years ago I saw Dersu Uzala and Seven Samurai at some art houses here in Minneapolis. Very nice to see such sweeping and epic movies on the big screen.
ohworldgirl: You are soo right about the big-screen. I have never had the pleasure. I would love to see Seven Samurai on the big Screen and also Yojimbo as Mifune looks larger than life in the opening sequences. (Your mention of Dersu Uzala reminded me of a favorite cinematic moment I have to add in another discussion.)

2008 marks the 10th Anniversary of Akira Kurosawa's memorial - What are your favorite memories & moments from his films?
ohworldgirl: Madadayo - The Student who makes the speech thanking his teacher for all that he has given to his students and saying he is gold. That's how I feel about Kurosawa - he has given so much through his films - he's like gold or better yet platinum (sorry to b so corny.)

chinopisces: I have never seen one. However, the movie Dreams, has an individual depicting him. At least that's what I thought. The fisherman's cap was the dead giveaway.
