A subsonic 9mm would be very weak, since the caliber depends on its velocity more than the .45 does. So a supersonic 9mm must be used.

To that end, what is more important, cutting down the noise from velocity or the noise from the powder and primer charges?

Is a supersonic 9mm a better choice than a .45 for suppression? (besides the smaller hole)
