Since early 2007, the NESguide project has successfully produced one gameplay video for each of the 749 unique titles produced for the original 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in the North American market.
We are currently working to replace videos of lesser quality/substance which were produced during the earlier period of the project, while also starting to work on other systems in a more limited capacity via our "Other Channels".
The classic North American NES catalog of games (both licensed and unlicensed) is the primary scope of the NESguide. However, some related games of particular interest are also included selectively; Japanese Famicom (NTSC-J) and European (PAL) releases, prototypes, translations, homebrews, etc.
NESguide videos are free from commentary and are intended to serve more as a historical archive for reference, educational and/or nostalgic purposes than a source of entertainment.
