hey whats up brother? so you wanting air traffic control? well for air traffic control you need to make a higher score in whats called mechanical on the ASVAB. I dunno much about it but i do know that it has an estimated 70% washout rate just because the tech school is so hard. Not saying you cant do it. Also if you do get that, be sure to resign after six years. ( you get a $100,000 re sign bonus.) Basic training is going to be hard, but being that close to home, you shouldnt feel too lonely. The MTI will be hard on you for about the first four weeks, then after that its gravy. Dont worry about stuff like the gas chamber, otherwise known as CBRNE. honestly its not so bad. You will learn that everything in the air force is an acronym. When youre at basic, just try to keep your head low and dont cause too much trouble or you will be the " example". dude if you have any questions at all, i got ya back
