On Feb 18, 2013, Harmonix announced that there would be no more Rock Band DLC after April 2, 2013. With over 5 years of continuous weekly content, Rock Band has been one of the best-supported gaming franchises of all time, so it's sad to see this chapter in rhythm game history come to a close. Some fans didn't believe the news when they heard it, others were upset. A few begged for DLC to continue, and most of us were just incredibly sad. When I saw these reactions, it dawned on me that they were incredibly similar to some of the stages of grief: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression. So to pay tribute to my all-time favorite game series to-date, I've chosen 11 songs spanning the history of all the Rock Band console games. The theme that ties them together is a progression through the stages of grief, with the hope of eventually reaching the final one: Acceptance.
