Pete Grandison from Shanghai Twang bounced me down a demo of one of the tunes I recorded last week.
I'm going to go away now and prepare the vocals, ready to record in a couple of weeks I hope.
In the meantime I thought it would be nice to have a little taste of what this personal project is about.
Thanks for listening.
"All aboard, take a seat. Pay the rent, food to eat
Scratching low, poverty. Sell your heart, pay a fine
Mercedes Benz, caviar. Bling bling, forget who you are
Refugee, decides to flee. Human being, like you and me.
On the money train. Let's do it again.
Another poor man goes to jail, another bank gets bail.
Another war, another war. Consumer crying out for more.
A boom, a crash. World Trade Centre reduced to ash.
Politicians and big decisions, doin their best, create division.
Stock market jump, stock market fall. Big mumma cries, we missed the call.
On the money train, let's do it again.
Human Race, take a ride. Climate strange, slippery slide.
Mass pollution, an institution. New tax, only solution.
Dirty business, invested interested. It's a crime scene and no-ones a witness
Billionaire, no dime to share. Mr Moon says this ain't fair.
On the Money Train, let's do it again.
Hard to fine, generosity. More for me, that's the key.
Buy a ticket at the station, (payin' for your education) work hard to reach your destination.
It's a deadly machine, it's a locomotive. You'd better watch out, it's explosive.
It'll cost a leg and an arm. GMO and factory farms.
It makes no sense to this brain, who would ever catch this train?!"
