When he was only 9 years old, Jacques Mees from Tilburg, Netherlands, thought he got struck by lightning when he heard Bob Dylan's voice for the first time. It was then that he also heard his vocational calling to become a singer-songwriter himself. His influences came from country, blues and folk music. His mentors were Townes van Zandt, Hank Williams and of course Bob Dylan and others of that genre who all contributed to Jacques becoming the versatile recording and performing artist that he is today.
Jacques Mees enjoyed much success early in his career but 2011 was an exceptional year of touring and promoting his "Shooting Star" album around Europe. He also performed some shows in Burkina Faso, West Africa.Presently, Jacques is recording and will soon release a new album with original material.
