"Quick to judge, quick to anger...slow to understand. Ignorance and prejudice and they walk hand in hand." Geddy Lee

Knowledge is the key to understanding and compassion. Stigma and discrimination against people with brain illnesses can only be eliminated through attempting to understand the current science of the brain. In this vein, the "It's a Brain Thing" video series was developed by psychiatrist David Henley, M.D.

Psychiatrist

Amazing video on Panic. I have dealt with Panic/Anxiety disorder my whole life. I have been on Zoloft for 13 years. This past month I have had bouts of panic attacks quite frequently, and you touched on a few subjects that I never thought of before. The dropping dead infront of the lion just sparked with me. Never thought of my panic like that, and that it will not kill me. My phobia is having a heart attack, and dying. Kind of hard to confront that kind of fear. Any suggestions?

Excellent presentations...thank you for making and uploaded them.

Are there any more videos in plan in the upcoming future? I'm especially curious in schizoid personality disorder, as I've been diagnosed with it recently. If you could maybe point me to some online litterature?

Thanks again, cheers.

Greetings from Macedonia, Europe. I'm on my way to become a psychiatrist. A video about the history of psychiatry, would be a great idea, i suppose... Regards
