Born and raised in (and near) Charlotte, North Carolina, Sarah fell into music at an early age. She debuted her voice at age 4 singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" sitting on top of a piano played by her dad (see the "Just Sarah" photo album), began piano lessons at age 6, and got her first guitar, a Big Baby Taylor (now retired in favor of a Taylor 314ce named Hobbes), at age 14. Sarah has been writing poetry since a young age and songs since she took up guitar. She writes for both guitar and piano.

Upon moving to Durham to attend Duke University, Sarah's music went on the back burner for a few years, but once she graduated in December 2008 and began working full-time, she picked back up and started performing in the Triangle area. Stay tuned for more performances in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area, and for new recordings, which are currently in the making.
