The official video from Aliases for new single 'Exasperated', which showcases the talents of new vocalist, Joe Rosser.
Joe is now hard at work in the studio with the band, recording vocals for Aliases' forthcoming debut album, which will be released on Basick Records later this year.
Comments new vocalist Joe: ""It's been great to bond with a group of musicians with the same sort of outlook on music as me. I think the moment we shared ideas we gelled together really well. Not only that but the fact that they are such great people to be around, we have become good friends. Working on the single has been so much fun. From laying down ideas to progressing it to a full length song, it more or less took its course and the rest of the bend felt what I added gave it a better twist than they anticipated. Recording the video was insane. Lack of sleep, lots of energy drinks and a huge office block with a DIY bedroom set.... It couldn't have been more surreal! Ben Herbert who directed it was so sound to work with and brought out the best in the ideas we had for the visual aspect of it all. I've admired the band for some time and never thought I could match the standard, but it seems this time I proved myself wrong and I am looking forward to a progressive future with Aliases. It's gonna be a blast!"
Catch Joe's first gig with Aliases in Manchester with label mates The Algorithm on April 27th. The band will also be appearing at UK Tech Fest in Peterborough 11-15th July.

French progressive metal explorers UNEVEN STRUCTURE have released this stunning new music video for the track FROST/HAIL, which had it's worldwide premiere on Metal Injection.
The video was created by guitarist Igor Omodei and is the second part in the video series from Februus. Comments Igor: "Our first video, Awaken, was always meant to be followed by Frost/Hail and we wanted to finally release it before we completely immersed ourselves in writing and recording our second album. Awaken was about getting used to the characters and getting out of your comfort zone. Frost/Hail is about discovering what's out there, the rules and hazards defining your world/mind but also the limitless potential lying in taking the risk to confront and bend these. Production-wise, as for Awaken, our awesome friends from Qatlaq Films lent us their camera and extra studio gear then we went from there ourselves for the editing and post-production. We hope you like it."
The video comes ahead of the band re-releasing a newly recorded and reworked version of their 2009 EP, 8, which will be released as a special bundle option with album Februus.
Iggy adds: "8, as a collective piece is something we love to play live but the way we do now is quite different from the 2009 EP. So we decided to release this altered version by going back to the drawing board, reworking it, taking advantage of the lineup consolidation and technical progress we've been through since the original was out. This is a thank you to our fans for being so supportive and believing in us, and we really hope they will enjoy what we've done with it. Whilst they enjoy this, we're busy in our batcave, working on our second album. We want to get that exactly right as it's a concept album, the technical aspect is more engaging than on Februus and we're leaving more room for experimentation which means our writing spectrum is broad as hell."

BASICK RECORDS are ridiculously excited to welcome U.S. band ALAYA to their rapidly growing international roster.
'Inside' is taken from the debut ALAYA album, 'Thrones' - 2013 via BASICK RECORDS.
"For the 'Inside' video we decided to work again with accredited producer and our long time friend, Bob Packo. We started with the concept of a play through but chose to approach it in a different way. The camera angles, lighting and focus are not typical of a play through video and create a unique experience for the viewer that fits well with the energy conveyed by the music. We shot the video DIY style at our rehearsal space. Bob brought a crew in and we cleared the space, hung back drops, set up lighting and camera rigs and spent a full day shooting.....shooting, eating crappy pizza and drinking craft beers. We got some great footage and had a blast putting the whole thing together. Bob and his team edited and wrapped everything up for us in a few days and we're excited about how it turned out!" - Michael Brandt Rinkenberger - Bass/Vocals
