Bard of Ely aka Greenbeard is a singer-songwriter, poet, author, freelance writer, columnist, compere, naturalist and photographer from Cardiff in Wales but now living in Tenerife, Canary Islands.

Bard of Ely was the compere for the Avalon Stage at Glastonbury Festival in 2002 and 2003 and also appeared there in 2004 as a guest speaker as well as being a performer on other years on the Avalon Cafe and other stages. Bard of Ely was a performer and compere at the Green Man Festival in 2003 too and is on the Green Man Festival CD.

Bard of Ely's songs You're a Liar, Nicky Wire and Harvest Home were released on the Taffia EP on Crai Records and the former song was rave reviewed in NME.

Under his real name Steve Andrews, Bard of Ely has had a regular column in the Tenerife Sun newspaper and articles in Tenerife News. He has also contributed a series of features to Permaculture Magazine and had a regular column in Big Issue Cymru back in the '90s.

As Steve Andrews, again in the '90s, he was co-presenter of In Full View TV magazine on BBC Choice for two series.

Bard of Ely has been written about in depth in the books Fierce Dancing and Last of the Hippies by CJ Stone, in Real Cardiff by Peter Finch, in The World's Most Mysterious People by Lionel and Patricia Fanthorpe and in The Trials of Arthur by Christopher James Stone and Arthur Pendragon.
