- I have been "off line" for awhile so slow to respond. Thank you for your kind message. I spend a lot of time in the field observing and photographing wildlife...but I am quite sure that I will never be able to surpass this experience. Glad to share it with you and others and hopefully do some good for these creatures and the people who protect them.

Putting another plug for this slideshow to show you all the Rushegera Group actually in the wild. All images were taken deep in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest on the two days preceding our encounter at Gorilla Safari Camp. In the latter slides note Mwirima, the silverback male, relaxing with his treasured babies as they literally bounce around on him while he rests in apparent contentment.

Some may have noticed we are now fully cooperating with African Wildlife Foundation to connect all who shared the encounter by watching the video to the excellent work done by AWF in support of mountain gorilla conservation.
