2 die in Quezon City road crash
About Me:
Police investigator Perlito Datu of the Quezon City Police District said a witness saw the Honda Civic with plate number XCD 873 driven by Miguel Agoncillo speeding along Quezon Avenue near the Welcome Rotunda area.
Datu said that upon reaching the Quezon Avenue-Banawe area, Agoncillo's car went out of control. He said the car ran over plants and pink fences on the center island before flying to the opposite lane.
He said the car slammed into an approaching RJS taxi with plate number TVM 844, leaving Agoncillo and a cab passenger identified as Rosalinda Laderas dead.
The taxi's driver, Evangelista Banahon and another passenger, Norchie Santos, were critically injured and are now confined at the East Avenue Medical Center.
The incident took place around 3:30 a.m. Saturday.
Police have yet to determine if Agoncillo was drunk when the accident happened.
