Bill Hicks was a comedian in the 1980s and early 1990s who challenged mainstream beliefs, aiming to "enlighten people to think for themselves."[1] Hicks used a ribald approach to express his material describing himself as "Chomsky with dick jokes."[1] His jokes included general discussions about society, religion, politics, philosophy and personal issues. Hicks' material was often deliberately controversial and steeped in black comedy. In both his stand-up performances, and during interviews, he often criticized Media and popular culture as oppressive tools of the ruling class, meant to "keep people stupid and apathetic."[2]
John Edward Mack, M.D. (4 October 1929 27 September 2004) was an American psychiatrist, and Professor at the Harvard University School of Medicine. He was a Pulitzer Prize-winning biographer, and a leading authority on the spiritual or transformational effects of alleged alien encounter experiences, sometimes called the Abduction Phenomenon.
Death:
On Monday 27 September 2004 while in London to lecture at a T. E. Lawrence Society sponsored conference, Mack was killed by a drunken driver heading west on Totteridge Lane. Mack was walking home alone from a dinner with friends when he was struck at 11:25 p.m. near the junction of Totteridge Lane and Longland Drive. He lost consciousness at the scene of the accident and was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. The driver was arrested at the scene and later entered a plea of guilty by careless driving whilst under the influence of alcohol. Dr. Mack's family has not endorsed conspiracy theories surrounding his death, and they requested leniency for the suspect in a letter to the Wood Green Crown Court. "Although this was a tragic event for our family," the letter reads, "we feel [the accused's] behavior was neither malicious nor intentional, and we have no ill will toward him since we learned of the circumstances of the collision."
Dr. Jacques F. Vallee was a senior researcher at the DARPA-funded Augmentation Research Center at SRI at the very beginning of the RV program initiated by Dr. Puthoff and Russell Targ in 1971. Given his long-standing interest in consciousness research, he became informally associated with the program and is credited by Ingo Swann for suggesting the approach that led to the coordinate remote viewing protocol. In the mid-eighties, Dr. Vallee was brought back to SRI as a consultant. He was cleared for Grill Flame, went through formal training with Ingo Swann, and contributed to the methodology research that Dr. Ed May later led at SAIC. His experience spans the entire life of the program and gives him a special position as an observer and commentator on the reality of remote viewing.
Dr. Vallee also has long been interested in the UFO phenomenon and has earned the reputation of being one of the most rigorous and credible researchers in the field. He was the model for the French scientist figure played by Francois Truffaut in Steven Speilberg's classic film "Close Encounters of the Third Kind."
Three of his classic works on alien contact were recently reprinted by Anomalist Books. He spoke about his investigation into a 1977 wave of sightings in the Brazilian Amazon. People were terrorized by small and large aerial objects, some of which shot out harmful beams. Intelligence officers from the Brazilian Air Force were brought in during the incidents, and a doctor treated around 40 people who were exposed to the beams, he reported.
Too much emphasis has been placed on the Roswell Incident, which has a lot of contradictory testimony, Vallee commented. Cases which have yielded physical evidence have more scientific interest, he noted, detailing the study of a molten metal that was found after an unidentified aerial object was witnessed in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Vallee cast a critical eye on several other well-known UFO subjects. His study of the Billy Meier material led him to believe that models were used in his photographs and films. And the 1980 Rendlesham/Bentwaters case fit the pattern of a military psychological warfare experiment rather than true contact, he said. Additionally, he suggested that hypnosis (used in conjunction with much abduction research) is an unreliable method for extracting accurate information.
Alan Wilson Watts (January 6, 1915 November 16, 1973) was a British philosopher, writer, speaker, who held both a master's degree in theology and a doctorate of divinity. Famous for his research on comparative religion, he was best known as an interpreter and popularizer of Eastern philosophy for a Western audience. He wrote more than 25 books and numerous articles on subjects such as personal identity, the true nature of reality, higher consciousness, meaning of life, concepts and images of God and the non-material pursuit of happiness. In his books he relates his experience to scientific knowledge and to the teachings of Eastern and Western religion and philosophy.
Joseph P. Farrell has a doctorate in patristics from the University of Oxford, and pursues research in physics, alternative history and science, and strange stuff. His book The Giza DeathStar was published in the spring of 2002, and was his first venture into alternative history and science. The sequel, The Giza Death Star Deployed came out in Spring 2003, and the final book of the Giza Death Star trilogy, The Giza Death Star Destroyed, in 2005. Additionally, he has published two books on Nazi secret weapons, Reich of the Black Sun and The SS Brotherhood of the Bell. His new book, The Cosmic War: Interplanateray Warfare, Modern Physics, and Ancient Texts, came out in the autumn of 2007, and the sequel to The SS Brotherhood of the Bell, Secrets of the Unified Field: The Philadelphia Experiment, the Nazi Bell, and the Discarded Theory, came out in March of 2008.
New York Times best selling author Gregg Braden is internationally renowned as a pioneer in bridging science and spirituality. Following a successful career as a Computer Geologist for Phillips Petroleum during the 1970s energy crisis, he became a Senior Computer Systems Designer for Martin Marietta Defense Systems during the last year of the Cold War. In 1991 he was appointed the first Technical Operations Manager for Cisco Systems where he led the development of the global support team that assures the reliability of today's Internet.
"The ultimate tyranny in a society is not control by martial law.
It is control by the psychological manipulation of consciousness through which reality is defined so that those who exist within it do not even realize that they are in prison.
They do not even realize that there is something outside of where they exist.'
Create a vision and never let the environment, other people's beliefs, or the limits of what has been done in the past shape your decisions. Ignore conventional wisdom.
~Anthony Robbins
If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise theyll kill you.
~Oscar Wilde
'Political tags such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire.'
~Robert A. Heinlein
