DON'T HATE SOMEBODY JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE DIFFERENT THAN YOU. PUT YOURSELF IN THEIR POSITION BEFORE YOU PASS JUDGEMENT. MAYBE YOU WILL THINK TWICE!!!

I'm Gay and an Atheist (yeah, i know, atheists are hated more than homosexuals, so you can hate me twice as much :D ) I'm the gaytheist! DEAL WITH IT!!! ☺ I'm a 19 year young college student, attending a major university in the western U.S. My goal is to be a dinosaur paleontologist... (I am also interested in psychology and sociology), but it's a long, difficult journey. But I try to approach difficulties as challenges to overcome, rather than obstacles to avoid. With the advice and support of my older brother, boyfriend and amazing friend Sebastian, I believe virtually anything can be achieved, and goals can be realized. Believe in yourself and never let somebody tell you that you can't accomplish something...if they do, prove them wrong!




As far as my atheism; I respect other people's beliefs, as long as they do NOT attempt pushing them onto me. Everyone should have the right to choose what they believe (or not believe) in, and worship whatever they choose. Having said that, there are some organizations and churches which I dislike... particularly the ones which picket the funerals of gays, soldiers and other people who are "evil" in the eyes of these sick individuals. Both of my grandfathers served in the military during WWII and the Korean War, and are honorable men. Although I DO NOT support the war in Iraq of Afghanistan, I respect the soldiers that are serving. If a soldier dies in the line of duty, the last thing their family needs is to see a bunch of morons, picketing the funeral of their deceased relative.

I have been studying the Zeitgeist movement, which would integrate science and technology into the social fabric of how we live. Such an approach is the most logical approach, especially in the 21st century. Old, outmoded, ridiculous ideas and beliefs need to be replaced with practical, realistic thinking and logic. If you are reading this, I urge you to research the history of humanity, and see where we've failed. We can change the direction civilization is going, only if we use logical thinking and the scientific method.

I also advocate the separation of church and state. Contrary to popular belief, the founding fathers of the United States were mostly deists, and some were atheists. Historical documents clearly state this in fact...all you have to do is a little research (not Fox "news"). One last point...many of my friends are Christians and Muslim, and we get along great, even though we have friendly debates about the historical accuracy of the 1st amendment of the Bill of Rights. :-)
