You can only bounce characters from Narutimate Hero 3 onward

Hey Dude. How do you make the Naruto characters when you smack them down they bounce up! When I do it, they won't bounce up! WTH! Oh and I'm using Naruto Ultimate Ninja 2 If That Helps! Thanks And Love Your Vids!
