About this user
I was a quintessential child of the 80's During those years I was fascinated with arcade games and could be found on any given day dropping quarters into a myriad of arcade machines in the neighborhood. As an adult I sought out and collected arcade machines as well as a number of pinball machines for my home. In the late 90's MAME made it possible to emulate some of my favorite games as well as a host of others I'd never heard of. It's those rare game finds that inspired the creation of MAMECADE.
I am no stranger to other gaming systems and have or had at some point most of the classic consoles like: The Colecovision, Intellivision, Atari 2600 and 5200, Odyssey2, as well has later generation systems like the Sega Genesis, Dreamcast, NES, N64, Gamecube, PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox 360, Gameboys, PSP and a few others.
As for computing, I have a vast collection of Commodore 64 game disks and loved programming in BASIC. The C64 will always be my favorite gaming computer. Of course throughout the 90's I spent hours on PC games like MYST and Monkey Island.
I have a pretty large collection of Pinball machines. I have learned how to maintain and restore these fickle behemoths.
I'm also a long time fan of Dungeons & Dragons (the old AD&D rules best) and anything D&D related.
I'm old enough to have experienced Saturday morning cartoons as a child and continue to love cartoons and animation to this day.
