Goodwill Finds - 660g of Sterling Silver = $568 - 6 Goblets $3 each!!!
Went to the local Goodwill shop for a shot glasses or beer mugs but I always keep my eye open for silver and today I scored!!! The cashier said "oh those look nice" and I said "yea look closer right here' (to the sterling mark) and she said "OHHH f%#@ they are not priced correctly" LOL I still got them for $3 each. -

Seated Half Dollar..CW Store Card and More Field Hunt!!!
I went out into the muddy fields today and scored some amazing finds. I found my first Seated Half Dollar and captured it on full dig. I also scored my first Civil War Store Card, which happens to be a Rarity 7!! I found a bunch of other nice finds to cap off a great day. Enjoy!!! -

Beach metal detecting: Gold pendant CHANTAL AUGUST 1959
I found this gold pendant, it was very deep, her tone is cut sound and null, because it was near and between iron.
Wear rubber gloves and goggles if possible, you never know..... for cleaning with hydrochloric acid i use 6% and add the water, be careful....

As a first year nursing student, I can tell you this is not complete/proper post mortem care....and this is someone in the Master's program. I pray to God not to end up in this nurses care.

Hauling garbage out of the forest
Today I was sick to my stomach when I seen the amount of garbage all over the forest just outside of chicago so I started picking up the glass bottles and trash and hiked it to the closest recycling drop off, I lost count of how many time I emptied bags of glass off but I would say it was about 20 times. -

Have metal detector will travel - Returned a lost wedding ring
I went up to MI with a buddy to try and find his 14k white gold wedding band he lost last week and in about 40min I was able to locate it in chest deep water using Lookin4seated's Minelab Excal. -

Garden update & New fines for MDng the woods around here
NEW Cook County IL Law - "Use, possess or offer for use a mineral or metal detector, magnetometer, side scan sonar, other metal detecting device, or subbottom profiler on Forest Preserve District property nor shall any unauthorized person be allowed to excavate, remove, damage, alter or deface, or attempt to excavate, remove, damage, or otherwise alter or deface Forest Preserve District property in connection with or for the purpose of engaging in metal detecting activities. Any person violating any of the provisions of this Subsection shall be fined not less than seventy-five dollars ($75) or more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each offense."
Full new law, its long and cannot do anything in the woods anymore...

Mark's new name should be "Gold Chiefka"....He has a Polish background, right? Well, Dziwka (pronounced Geefka) is whore in Polish. Suitable for a pg audience... He is the gold Chief, right?...so just add the "ka" and it sounds like GW in Polish...Great hunt guys! P.S., it sounds like something else in Polish, but I'll tell you when I see ya. Getting out tomorrow afternoon and Sunday, cause I've been out for about a month.(Was hospitalized this past Sunday). I'll Call ya tomorrow & update u.

Hey everyone. Thanks for all the nice comments. The foreign coin I believe is a Canadian 25 cent piece. I can make out the 25 on the reverse, but nothing else. Under the correct light, I can also make out " GEORGIVS V DEI GRA REX ET IND IMP" on the obverse.

Great score. FYI...I've dug a handfull of skeleton keys, and they've all come in like zinclons or Indian Head pennies. They tend to do the same triangle bounce as the IH's.
