These videos highlight some of the key locations in Gabriel's Conspiracy, a slave rebellion planned in 1800. A torrential rain storm and informant slaves put a halt to the revolt before it even began. Gabriel had planned to seize Richmond and demand freedom for enslaved persons in Virginia.
