About Me: Hey YouTubers. Im starting a campaign to TAKE BACK from all of the worlds Haters the word or phrase - "Thats So Gay". I watched a video last night on Jay Bell Books channel which described how the haters have stolen the meaning of that word and how it is used nowdays to describe something or someone in a negative unpleasant degrading or demeaning way. Youall need to TAKE BACK from the haters a word that describes people who for the most part are the kindest smartest most decent people on this earth. We can not allow them to change the truth. The youtuber suggested that we counter this not by freaking out when you hear the hater version. But to counter it by starting our campaign and to start using the phrase "Thats So Gay" in a everyday conversation w/friends and family and at school and especially here on YouTube to describe something you have just seen or heard or read that is Heroic positive uplifting heartwarming happy helpful openminded useful etc. In other words just the opposite of the haters version. For example if u see someone help an old lady cross the street safely you would say to them. Wow dude that was so gay of U. If a fireman saved a baby from a burning house then his action was so totally gay. If yer kid after struggling in school comes home with a great report card his Mom would say Thats pretty gay son Im really proud of you. You get the idea. So start trying it out here on you tube. Make sure when u do that the meaning is clear in your message. Try using it at home and school. Make sure when u use the word or phrase that it is in response to something remarkable that just happened or was said. Dont use it casually. Tell your friends and supporters about this campaign. Practice it yourself and remind yourself about it everyday. If you write letters to your school newspaper use it when the opportunity arises. Leave me comments and suggestions below. Lets do this! We can make it happen no matter how long it takes were not going to give up. If these effin haters can TWIST the meaning of words then we can twist it back.. It is our responsiblility to make this world a better world. Words have meaning. Words have an effect. If they can twist this word then we can take it back in a few years and give hope to any gay kid who may be thinking about suicide bcause of how the perception of them is bein messed with.
