I am an atheist, rationalist, critical thinker, secularist, and science fanatic.
I am not against religion per se. I am against people trying to force their beliefs on others, people lying and claiming that their beliefs are based on any real evidence, and people who misrepresent (either through ignorance or malice) scientific concepts and theories.
My favorite subjects:
-Psychology
-Chemistry
-Biology (general and especially evolution)
-Medicine (in general)
-Anatomy and Physiology
-Logic
Other subjects that fascinate me:
-Sociology
-Astronomy
-Cosmology
-Ecology
-Physics
-Mathematics
-Geology
-Paleontology
-Philosophy
Interesting Quotes:
"Religion is the opium of the people"
--Karl Marx
"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?"
--Epicurus

About Me:
--Stephen Roberts
"Make everything as simple as possible but not simpler."
"It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly."
--Albert Einstein
"I do not believe in immortality of the individual, and I consider ethics to be an exclusively human concern with no superhuman authority behind it."
-- Albert Einstein, 1954, from Albert Einstein: The Human Side, edited by Helen Dukas and Banesh Hoffman, Princeton University Press
"Calling Atheism a religion is like calling bald a hair color."
--Don Hirschberg
"Pray: To ask the laws of the universe to be annulled on behalf of a single petitioner confessedly unworthy."
-- Ambrose Bierce
"The atheist does not say 'there is no God,' but he says 'I know not what you mean by God; I am without idea of God'; the word 'God' is to me a sound conveying no clear or distinct affirmation. ... The Bible God I deny; the Christian God I disbelieve in; but I am not rash enough to say there is no God as long as you tell me you are unprepared to define God to me."
-- Charles Bradlaugh, 'Plea for Atheism'
"An atheist is a man who has no invisible means of support."
-- John Buchan
"Religion teaches the dangerous nonsense that death is not the end."
"I am against religion because it teaches us to be satisfied with not understanding the world."
"Faith is powerful enough to immunize people against all appeals to pity, to forgiveness, to decent human feelings. It even immunizes them against fear, if they honestly believe that a martyr's death will send them straight to heaven."
"My point is not that religion itself is the motivation for wars, murders and terrorist attacks, but that religion is the principal label, and the most dangerous one, by which a "they" as opposed to a "we" can be identified at all."
"The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil and no good, nothing but blind pitiless indifference."
"People sometimes try to score debating points by saying, "Evolution is only a theory." That is correct, but it's important to understand what that means. It is also only a theory that the world goes round the Sun -- it's just a theory for which there is an immense amount of evidence. There are many scientific theories that are in doubt. Even within evolution, there is some room for controversy. But that we are cousins of apes and jackals and starfish, let's say, that is a fact in the ordinary sense of the word."
"You cannot be both sane and well educated and disbelieve in evolution. The evidence is so strong that any sane, educated person has got to believe in evolution."
--Richard Dawkins
It is far better to grasp the universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.
--Carl Sagan
"What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence"
--Christopher Hitchens
"Faith is believing what you know ain't so."
--Mark Twain, Following the Equator, Pudd'nhead Wilson's Calendar
"A casual stroll through the lunatic asylum shows that faith does not prove anything."
--Friedrich Nietzsche
"Just as no one can be forced into belief, so no one can be forced into unbelief"
--Sigmund Freud
"How do we know that our holy books are free from error? Because the books themselves say so. Epistemological black holes of this sort are fast draining the light from our world."
--Sam Harris
Ubi dubium ibi libertas: Where there is doubt, there is freedom.
-- Latin proverb

Vielen Dank für die Unterstützung der Ideale der Nazi-Partei Deutschlands. Durch die Beseitigung der Religion, Sie sind enebling besser halten der Menschen. Wir sind die Nazi-Partei, und wir hassen auch die Religion.
Sieg Heil!
Es lebe Hitler! Die Juden!
You got to be kidding me. There are fossils from time before cambrian, it wasn't until precambrian that the animals started to evolve hard shells and thus could be better preserved. For example there are the trilobite -ancestors, that appeared in the Ediacaran period. These species did not just "appear", in the Cambrian the speciation just bloomed, new species were born (and dying) at a phenomenal rate.
Charnia and Spriggina are examples of species that lived in the Ediacaran, 565 - 543 million years ago.
b) you say that we CLAIM our religion is based on facts....which it is...but what 'facts' is your 'believe system' bassed on?
c) there is proof that evolution is a theory...and oNLY a theory.
