6D vs 5D mark III - ISO Comparison [Film] (1080p)

READ ME: 6D vs 5D Mark III - ISO Comparison for filming. I apologize for the somewhat rough quality and shortness of the video, but I only had the camera for a few minutes.

REVIEW:
Ever since Canon announced the 6D, a full-frame camera at relatively very affordable price, I was really eager to try it out. I was especially curious of the ISO performance, and how it compared to the highly impressive 5D Mark III.
So, I was finally able to test it, and I came back with surprising results: The ISO performance was actually just as good as the Mark III when filming - and when taking pictures at the absolute highest ISO (102 400) it was even better!
(For both cameras I used the Canon 50mm 1.4 at f/2.8, normal noise reduction, AF and AWB.)
The 6D also have a built-in WiFi and GPS, which can be very practical. Especially the former, with many different uses, including using your smartphone as a wireless viewfinder and remote.
The 6D does have it's limitations, especially the limited auto-focus, with only 1 cross-type focus point, and 11 focus points (41 and 61 on the Mark III). But, then again, I many cases I only use center spot focus, and when filming I focus manually anyway. So, how big of a deal this is depends on your application.
Same goes for the headphone input and CF-card slot. It can be very practical to have one, but I don't really use it that often, and with some experience you can achieve just as good results without it.
In conclusion, I think the 6D is a very good alternative for filmmakers and/or non-sport-photographers, that wants better ISO performance then the 600D / 6D / 650D or 7D - at a more affordable price of than the Mark III =) -

▶ The humorous music video for Fatty Sunroad's "Pink" is finally here! It's been a lot of work, and we met some challenges along the way, but with tremendous effort from everyone involved we we're able to put together a really crazy and energetic music video - and I'm very satisfied with what we've achieved without any kind of budget! Enjoy :) -
