I am mostly the multicellular colony named Eric Zombie. My colony is host to a few pounds of symbiotic and predatory bacteria, and an unknown number of other parasites. The neural aspect of this colony has created cellular pathways to store information, and has been of some assistance to the maintenance of the colony. This neural aspect does not view fantasies of post mortum immortality as realistic, or anywhere near as desirable as pre mortum immortality.

Take a dozen pennies. what are the chances that by flipping them, ALL will land heads up? now, consider the pennies are genes. heads up are successful, tails are failures. each flip is a generation. repeat multiple times. each time you flip, remove only the failures.(this is natural selection) re flip the failures. how many generations did it take to get all 12 pennies to land heads up? what are the odds after many generations? what if you had 20,000 pennies and 3 billion years?

Creationists can believe in microevolution in a single species, but not macroevolution of all life over the course of a billion or so years. odd, since macroevolution must have occurred since the time of the great flood, otherwise Noah would have to have room on his boat for over 10 MILLION species. that's 20 MILLION animals. can you fit that many into a boat that's 120 cubits by 80 cubits by 40 cubits?
and speaking of Noah, how did he then put ALL 10 million species on all the correct continents? marsupials in Australia, lions and giraffes in Africa, penguins in Antarctica, and so on. this seems extraordinarily improbable for someone to do, especially someone who was 600 years old.

I am against a double standard where religion is concerned. Teaching Creationism in science class is about as appropriate as teaching evolution in church. To be truly fair, Christian children should be taught that Satan is good and God is evil as an alternative to the current model, just as fundamentalist christians want creationism taught in public schools as an alternative to real science.
Teach the Controversy! Let the children decide!

No 500 character comment ever made on YouTube could dissuade someone with unyielding faith. Religious believers will deny all evidence that contradicts their faith, no matter how compelling or logical the evidence is. All logic presupposes that without evidence for something, it is impossible to argue for it. A belief is not fact, unless evidence is brought forth to support the belief. Faith is a belief in what cannot be proven. Pure faith removes all possibility for evidence to the contrary. The only way for a person to shake themselves free of the superstition of religion is by doing two things at once:
1. Realizing that their faith is merely the result of indoctrination from early childhood, and that their religion was originally created as a coping mechanism by early man.
2. Educating themselves in the real world studies of Biology, Physics, Statistical Probability, Astronomy, Anthropology, Archeology, Germ Theory, and just about any other science.
If a person chooses to remain religious while educating themselves, they will attempt to use compelling pseudoscience and half baked numbers to prove god exists, and will attack or ignore any evidence that contradicts it.
If a person chooses to keep their faith, but not educate themselves in any of the real world sciences, they are hopeless and ignorant of the world, and should not bother arguing their beliefs with people who have done the research.
