We support the Mustard Seed Ranch here in Cookeville and St. Jude Children's hospital in Memphis,TN. Those are not the only ones but are some of our favorites.

As I said below most Americans have the money if they see the value in it (Cable TV, eat out less, etc...). The biggest obstacle is seeing the need.
For the person who really doesn't have the funds then I would subscribe to the CrossFit journal for $20 a year and if you have an iPhone download the coaches eye app ($5) so that you can video yourself for review. If you have time then offer to clean the gym in exchange for membership or something like that.
Thanks for all the comments guys!

haha, I guess sometimes the facts don't add up. There are some things I think you are missing in your list but that is what makes it fun! :)

I would try to find a good CrossFit Kids program that has teen classes. At this point you should be focused on becoming proficient at the movements while concentrating on form. Do not worry about weight.

We don't really set out to make the videos a certain length and we only do one take so the length of the video will vary. The length of the video largely depends on the quality and depth of the question. I also shoot most of the videos on my lunch break so time is always limited.

Keep at it bro! Find a good coach and offer to clean his place for free. Once you show yourself as trustworthy and teachable you will get in somewhere

CrossFit is a core strength and conditioning program. Most movements are core to extremity and focus on mid-line stabilization, which is the main function of your core. Olympic and Power lifts for example require a tremendous amount of core strength even though they are not core centric like a sit-up. Hope that helps.

KP, No good athlete that works hard can be counted out but just like most sports there is a favorable height range. Just as taller athletes excel in basketball and smaller compact athletes excel in gymnastics the sweet spot for CrossFit is probably in the mid to high 5ft range IMO. There will be people on the extremes that will do well but they will be the exception. Wall balls is a good exercise that shows the advantages and disadvantages of both

For our affiliate, CrossFit Mayhem, we use Wodify for all of our workout and performance tracking. Rich doesn't keep a journal of stuff he does past what he can remember.
