From the final scene of Avatar. This song is incredibly beautiful and I'm proud of myself because I learned it completely by ear. I don't play the piano formally, and most of my other songs were mimicked from video tutorials. With this one, I sat down and listened and played the whole thing out. Obviously I don't have a pitch modulator on the piano so I couldn't get the string bending effect toward the end of the song. Avatar: The Last Airbender is an animated series that is quite possibly one of the greatest stories ever told through a visual medium. M. Night Shamalan is working on a trilogy of movies based on the series.

Q: I wish I could play this piece. A: You can! You need to learn the piece really well, but you don't need to learn to play the piano. Q: Is it just me, or does this piece make everyone cry? A: Maybe not everyone, but lots of people ... http://www.musani...
Q: Can you please do a video of ________? A: First, check my to-do list: http://www.musani... If the music you want isn't there, then read the "Could you please" question here: http://www.musani... Q: This is not the Clair de lune I learned growing up in France. A: You may be thinking of the song Au clair de la lune: http://www.musani...

There are lots of places on the web where you can get MIDI files; I usually go to the Classical Archives site first: http://www.classi...
Q: Can I use this audio/video in my project? A: Please send me an email (stephen at musanim dot com) describing your project and I'll let you know whether it's okay.
Q: Why does the title include the word "Twilight"? A: Recently, many people have been exposed to this piece through the movie Twilight. If they are looking for this piece on YouTube, they might not be sure of the name of the piece, so I've put the word Twilight in the title to help them find it. I think it's better for them to find the piece and listen to it than to not find it. Some people think that the piece "deserves better than to be associated with Twilight." I can understand that point of view, but I don't see that way; the piece deserves all the attention it can get, and anything that results in more people being able to appreciate it is a good thing. No one is going to lose any respect for this piece or for Debussy from the word "Twilight" appearing in the title of a YouTube video. .

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone. It's not warm when she's away. Ain't no sunshine when she's gone and she's always gone too long anytime she goes away.
Wonder this time where she's gone, wonder if she's gone to stay Ain't no sunshine when she's gone and this house just ain't no home anytime she goes away.
And I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know
Hey, I ought to leave the young thing alone, but ain't no sunshine when she's gone, ain't no sunshine when she's gone, only darkness everyday. Ain't no sunshine when she's gone, and this house just ain't no home anytime she goes away. Anytime she goes away. Anytime she goes away. Anytime she goes away. Anytime she goes away.
