This is the best way I know so far to get 99 lives quickly. There are 8 lives and since you have to die at the end to restart to the checkpoint, you're getting 7 each time, so it won't take too long to get to 99. I didn't die in the video at the end because I apparently skipped the Red Ring last time I played this stage, and I wanted to save it.
