Yes, the login comes from the Andy Warhol line from 1968, "In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes."

No, it doesn't mean I think I'm famous. I'm an introvert, and would hate being famous. Would I have waited a year, otherwise?

Warhol said it out of recognition of the short-attention-span-theater trend of media, which will only accelerate.

Keep up.
Look closer.
Enjoy your 15 minutes.

I'm a USAF-trained (now civilian) computer programmer. I've seen more movies than Roger Ebert, and I kick ass at Trivial Pursuit. But I can't dance, and I can't sing, and I don't want to sell anything.

American by birth, Irish by blood. Raised Catholic, now atheist/agnostic/got more important things to think about. Social liberal. Fiscal conservative. Politically active, but moderate where applicable. I vote. Though I've never been a member of a political party. But if I had to, it would be Libertarian. Because this nation has drifted considerably from its foundation, and if we correct that, we can regain the respect that our republic deserves. I do love my country, and would die to protect it. But I love our planet more.

Thanks for giving me 15 minutes. Happy to return the favor. If I already have, and liked what I saw, I subbed.

Light a candle for John O'Neill
September 17, 2006, 02:22 AM
Keith Olbermann on his MSNBC program, Countdown, for September 8, 2006. This is part of the opening segment, addressing the serious inaccuracies of ABC's recent show, "The Path to 9/11". Specifically, the film's protagonist, John O'Neill. I had written an e-mail...

Hi, there! Your comment on my channel page was interesting. I came to YouTube looking for three things: Flamenco dance videos, clips of my favorite recording artists/bands, and guitarists. Within just a few days, I had found SO much more! Now, I am here primarily because of the relationships I've found with some phenomenally talented people, and most of them amateurs at that! I think that's absolutely delightful. The fact that they're talented pales in comparison to the heart connection I've experienced with them, though. It's icing on the cake that everyone is so creative.
