What are your abilities?

E5rael: What are you good at? Are you good at making songs, writing lyrics/stories, drawing, playing an instrument, singing, using a specific program (Vocaloid, MikuMikuDance, PMD editor, Sony Vegas, Photoshop etc), translating or something else? Share your abilities with each other! The purpose of this thread is to make people aware of each other's abilities and make collaborating easier when people know where to look for specific talents.

E5rael: I'm quite good at using Vocaloid and Audacity and have rudimentary skills at MMD. I play the French horn and can also sing (bass or baritone preferably). I have Miku, Rin, Len, Luka and Kiyoteru. I can try making them sing in any language (as long as you can provide me with an example of the desired song (and possibly an instrumental version)). I'm open for requests but I'm quite slow at making them (the queue is fairly long already), depending on whether I really like the song.

Group Members progress using Vocaloid or UTAU

shadedsky040692: Anyone else been using the software for themselves? I started with Vocaloid 2 around the end of last year but recently tried the original too. Is it just me or this really difficult xD

JerryEnergy1: I've been using Vocaloid2 now for 2-years. At first it was very difficult but the more I use the software the better I became. Getting Miku to sing in near perfect English was the most challenging for me. It has taken me a good one in a half to two years to perfect Miku's English. My English version of "Love is War" Original Japanese version by: ryo, shows the level of my Vocaloid English skills. It's also taken me two years to develop a good vocabulary chart for Miku. hehe

xXxIchigoOtakuxXx: Is there a certain producer on Nico that you admire or get inspiration from to write/make music? I admire the work of Fullkawa-P. He(?) makes songs with very unique and interesting lyrics in my opinion.

What do you do to make your next song?

KlydeKorangar: To further explain the topic, I am not asking for the secrets of how you make Vocaloid songs. If you want to keep it a secret then you do not have to reveal it. ^^ For me, first I place the notes and try to match the pitch exactly with the song since I am, so far, only making cover songs. It depends how complicated the note placements are and how fast it is going to get it to match exactly. Usually it takes about an hour, or more, to get one sentence to match, for me at least. ^^

Kentai92: Well there are many possible ways I start out on a song: sometimes I start with the singing and create a few lines to start working with, sometimes I make the lyrics first. Sometimes, like with the third part of my "Android Life Cycle" fourlogy I am currently working on I start with a simple Riff in the background music. I this time just made a simple guitar tonal run. After the initial steps and usually only after those I finalize my decision about the overall song conscept. sy, Kentai
