The Intel Science Talent Search (Intel STS), a program of Society for Science & the Public, is the premier pre-college science competition for U.S. high school seniors. Annually STS brings together the 40 best and brightest young scientific minds in America to compete for $1.25 million in awards and scholarships.
Every year, some 1,600 American high school seniors enter Intel STS with original projects from a wide range of mathematics and science disciplines. The field of 1,600 is narrowed to 300 semifinalists, and then to 40 finalists.(more)(less)
