John Oszajca, described by Robert Hillburn of The Los Angeles Times as "a writer who exhibits a winning feel for melodies and, especially words," was born and raised in the tiny town of Waimanalo, Hawaii. Shortly after graduating high school, Oszajca (pronounced OH-ZSA-KUH, as in the French children's song "Frere Jacques") relocated to Seattle, Washington, where he quickly became known as one of Seattle's finest solo artists. After again relocating to Los Angeles where John soon became an integral part of the Los Angeles music scene he was quickly signed to Interscope Records for whom he released his debut album, FROM THERE TO HERE, and later to Universal Records, for whom he recorded the soon to be released FIRST SIGN OF ANYTHING.
