About Me:
 
My name is Peter Foster. Im a teenager a young man who loves other people, and seldom EVER wants to think about hisself. I have many health issues, and use various machines such as a ventilator, oximeter, ECG BP monitor, suction machine, and other machine. I have microopthalmia, and glaucoma, and am almost completely blind and a cateract was recently descovered in Dec of 2010 and is quickly taking my vision away. I am unable to smell or taste, and can't eat food. I can eat soft foods, and a special formula. Eating isn't much of a joy to me because sence I can't smell or taste it, its just something I do to live. I have frontal nasal dysplasia, and many many other deformities in my airways. I do Not have the hair like materials in my nose (CILLIA), and my immune system is weak due to that and other things. The cillia is also what helps me humidify my airways. But sence I do NOT have that, I must use other means of humidification such as an air compressor to humidify my airways, an HME, (HEAT MOISTURE EXCHANGER), and other stuff. Because otherwise, I won't be able to breathe. Due to the surgeries I've had on m sinuses, and stuff, my airways are like a rocky hill in that they're very very bumpy, and therefore stuff just accumulates in those crevices, and I get sick. I use saline washes to get it out, and a steam inhailer. I have HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE boogers. But that's another story. I'm NOT, going into details on that. Let's just say, that due to my nasal airways which are about the size of a PREMATURE newborn's nose, I have a hard time getting big boogers out. OK, OK, ENOUGH. I am an obsess with medical equipment, and sence being in and out of hospitals n stuff and being around machines sence Day 1 of life, I'm obsessed with machines, and love them more than I can say. I may have severe health issues, but do not let that get me down, cause it could always be worse. I also have cleft lip, and cleft pallate. I'm effected by Medical Nerd Syndrome or MNS for short. I'm an adict when it comes to medical equipment.. Im in the process of trying to get me a full fledged ICU monitor for my health, and my obsession. I need a monitor with the following features. ECG, NIBP. Spo2, ETCo2, and TEMP. Its really needed BADLY, and Im not having ANY luck in this, but I'm still doing my best. But if you ever met me, you would know, I'm QUITE THE MEDICAL NUTCASE. Yes, I'm a nutcase, and I'm PROUD OF IT. I also have to use a lot of blankets at night, because due to my growth delay, I'm still tiny for my age. I also have, tourettes, Accute/Chronic sinusitis, and get infections often, have had ummmmmmmmm 40 or 50 or 60 surgeries, not counting them, and I use to not be able to breathe at all through my nostril because of a blockage that required MAAAAAJOR surgery, and I almost had to undergo a crainiotomy to take care of that, THANK GOD, this was NOT the case. Those are NEVER fun. I have what's called synesthesia, and that's where I see colors whenever I hear music. Well, ANY noise for that matter has a color. A suction machine, an oximeter, a ventilator, an oscillator, an ECMO machine. If it's gotta noise, its gotta color. I use photooptics to enhance this. I also have perfect pitch, and can tell you what key any piece is in. Any noise. For example, the GE Datex Ohmeda TruSat 3500 pulse oximeter has a red color to the alarm, and the alarm is in C Major. If you just wanna block me, and not get to know me, That's your loss. I hate to say it so mean, but I try to help other people, and be kind. Because LIFE IS GOOD. It could always be worse.

Oh yeah, A little note.

The phraise I always like to use, "UP YOUR NOSE WITH A RUBBER HOSE," origionated from the 1975 movie WELCOME BACK KOTTER.

A lot of people use it offensivly, but sence all my life I've been placing tubes up my nose, and into my airways, I use it to make fun of what I have to do. Its just something I have to do. Never complain about it, ck

Just to warn you all, today my computer which by the way is WINDOWS, UGHHHHH is acting up BADLY, and I feel it may crash for the THIRD time sence I got it last june, so I may be W/O a computer. I think its going to crash. Its VERY VERY slow and almost useless today.

I may be W/O YouTube for a few weeks until I can get a new harddrive if this happens.
