@darklightlantern Even though you've already posted the updated, we did want to answer your questions. Part 1 of your question actually sounds like the problem is more with your board than the monitor. Have you tried coining up the game and starting it? Do you get sound? If you don't then you might have a board rather than a monitor issue. Part 2 of your question is pretty simple. For the most part, you have to make sure that the make (or brand) and model of the 2 chassis match to do a swap. There might be some circumstances where other brands or models will work interchangeably but most of the time they must match. We also answered your question on episode 22 of our podcast if you would like to hear more of our thoughts on your question. Thanks for watching!

HI guys, I just thought i'd give you a quick update. I've actually found someone that tried to fix the chassis but it was severely damaged from the back door landing on it prior to me ever seeing it. But lady luck was on my side and he actually had another chassis that would work with it. I've yet to pick it up but I have big plans ahead. Thanks for all your help. Just thought I'd let you know your helping an australian out. How I envy U.S. dedicated cabinets.

Just thought I'd let you know you've just made a new fan of your videos. I just recently bought my first two arcade cabinets and one works fine however is in less than average condition.
I have a lot of questions to ask but I might start with one 2 part question. Part 1: I turn on my arcade and all I get from the monitor is a blue screen and a high pitch sound. Do you know the possible cause? I'm assuming is a fault in the chassis. Part 2: is it possible to install any kind of chassis to an old monitor or are there certain types for certain sizes?
Thank you for your time and all the help I'm sure you've provided many viewers.

Thanks for your series, I've made an arcade cabinet myself but was using a RGB to TV encoder to play on a regular TV. Now I've ordered an arcade monitor though I haven't hooked one up before. Your video series was great for helping me understand the parts and how to fix some common problems that I'll probably have when I hook it up.

hey, i recently got a galaga machine (originally a red alert machine)
It works, but the most of the wires in the coin door are all frayed and disconnected.
Could you do a video about how to repair the wiring in the coin door / credit electronics?
