You guys would save yourselves a lot of time if you picked up a copy of Melvin Schwartz's principles of electrodynamics, and maybe studied some perturbation theory if you REALLY needed to know exacty what those oddly shaped coils would do.

Umm... The experiments posted on your channel are pretty much the kind of problems you solve in an undergraduate E&M course. Electromagnetism is beyond beautiful, but it is not exactly new stuff... This is not the mathematics of vortices, it is numerology. Mind, you that is not meant as an insult, numerology is a wonderful form of meditation.
