In front of the bar at Mr. Burtman's New York penthouse, we're introduced to Jenifer, a long-legged blond with buoyant pony tail. In pumps with five-inch heels and a studded patent leather bra and panty set, she demonstrates the length of her whip. A squib tells us of J's successful career in burlesque.
The remainder of the issue presents excellent photographs of men showing off their femininity backstage and onstage. The first pictorial shows us the dressing room of New York's 82-Club, as entertainers get ready to perform. Many are pictured onstage in fringes, feathers, chiffon, satin, and lamé.
Two features present glammed-up party-goers at impersonation events. Saul Segal and Frankie Quinn hosted the Variety Club's Thanksgiving Ball. Lovelies of all sizes and descriptions expose their feminine side in glittering dresses with lots of frills. At Dayzee Dee's Thanksgiving Ball, participants paraded in a rainbow of fabrics and styles in what looks like a costume contest.
After Robin Roberts poses provocatively poolside, he goes indoors to put on makeup, hosiery, foundation garments and wigs. Then, he displays his feminine curves in a tight, glittery sheath, long gloves and matching boa.
A photo album of made-up faces and figures, Queens in Drag pictures 20 female impersonators in their work clothes. In Hawaiian Honies, we meet a pretty brunette in a pants suit who changes into stockings, corset, gloves and boots. We see Dale Roberts backstage, adjusting his wig, applying makeup.
A cross-dressing night club performer is the first-person narrator of The Tough Transvestite short story. He tells of knockout experiences with both men and women.
The digital replica contains all the content of original 100-page magazine, including advertising. Some page layouts have been revised slightly. Photographs have been adjusted in pursuit of clarity and provide a better view than the original. The page sequence has been revised to obtain continuity of picture sets and the story. The original Goldstripe zine has an excellent assortment of content, and the ebook provides the best mechanism for enjoying it.

A prolific illustrator who explored diverse erotic themes, Eric Stanton's career spanned five decades. His pictures tell us of his fascination with powerful women and the irresistible appeal of their beauty.
In his Office Affair and Family Affair series, he developed images of female superiority in household settings, delineating outrageous relationships in which determined women control males.
His drawings continue to allure us with lovely visions of strong women who achieve bizarre objectives.
Eric Stanton's stories are available in e-book form at the Fetish Nostalgia website. 1950s and 1960s magazines that include his illustrations and comic serials published by Irving Klaw in the 1950s are also available as downloadable .pdf files. [] http://www.30sg.com

Often signing his pictures as Eneg (Gene spelled backward), Gene Bilbrew was one of the most productive erotic illustrators of the 20th century. Now famous for dozens of paperback novel covers, he was an expert at depicting bondage, fetish, and femdom themes in illustrations that accompanied stories and in his comics.
In the 1950s, Irving Klaw published several Bilbrew comic serials as prints on photographic paper. During the same period, he created art for Leonard Burtmans Exotique magazine, and most of his magazines of the 1960s.
The successor to Mr. Klaws publishing business was Ed Mishkins Mutrix Corp. Mr. Bilbrew provided the illustrations for dozens of fiction pieces with titles like Transvestite School, My Brothers Keeper, Adventures of a Transvestite, Transvestite in Paris, Poor Little Rich Boy Girl, Petticoat Boy, The Budding Transvestite, Boys Will Be Girls, each separately published as Mutrix books.
Also during the 1960s, Mr. Bilbrew illustrated many of Mr. Burtmans Selbee booklets with transvestite themes. The titles included Maid to Please, The Wicked Three, Adventures in Petticoats, Adonis in High Heels, Forced Femininity, and Satan in High Heels.
The video samples Mr. Bilbrews art from these and other publishers. His pictures show impressive skill in rendering lyrical feminine curves and depicting the penumbras of gender transition.
The books that originally presented these illustrations are available in ebook .pdf format at

First published by Mr. Klaw as a Nutrix book in 1963, Dominating Tame-Azons Shame Men into Subjection tells the story of women who re-form men. The techniques of the professional husband-trainers (i.e., the Tame-Azons) in the narrative involve forced cross-dressing to subdue and restrain the aggressive tendencies of the males in their charge.
THE PLOT: Two wives with rude and arrogant husbands contract with a service that teaches men manners. Executives at Tame-Azons, Inc., initiate a training program that de-masculinizes the errant spouses by dressing them in tight-fitting rubber and leather costumes, often including waist-cinchers, stockings and high heels. The men don't like the regimen, but the instructors are irresistible. In the end, the husbands accept the household governance of their wives.
Unlike other stories involving forced cross-dressing, the males are not feminized. Here, the unpleasant aspects of their masculinity are bizarrely neutralized.
THE ART: Irving Klaw published work by the artist named Harry in the early 1960s. He signed his drawings with a capital H on a curled square of paper.
On a field of black, he carves his scenes and characters in white lines that comprise a modest geometry of shape and volume. Many of his figures are outlined with a thick white line, which suggests that he may have pasted drawings of characters on to backgrounds. However we may characterize his style or skill, his illustrations describe costumes, feelings and scenarios with the clarity and precision of an accomplished professional.
Where Mr. Bilbrew's fantasy divas are outrageously over the top, Harry's women, while stylish dressers, are more like actual royalty, imperious but reserved. Harry's dominant women are shown at work, providing wives with expert service, focused on the task at hand.
THE EBOOK: The original Nutrix booklet had about 60 pages — a typed story and more than 30 illustrations. It appears that the text was written after the drawings were made, but not everything shown in the pictures is included in the text. We've re-formulated the sturdy prose to more closely associate descriptions with related pictures. While the prose is presented in its original sequence, some pages have been divided, and individual paragraphs placed on separate ebook pages that precede the illustration they describe. The sequence of pictures has been revised to position each one with relevant text as possible.
The ebook offers opportunity to see the clever work of a little-known artist with substantial talent and an appealing point of view. Fans of illustrated fiction with either femdom or T-V themes will enjoy this visual treat.
