HOGAN'S HEROES was formed between the swamps and beach in Toms River, New Jersey, 1984 During 1984-1993 HOGAN'S HEROES released three full lengths. In 1988 "Built To Last" produced by HOGAN'S HEROES and recorded fall 1987 at Waterfront (LENNY KRAVITZ, MADONNA, B.B. KING, SMASHING PUMPKINS, SLASH) Studios. In 1990 "Hogan's Heroes", produced by HOGAN'S HEROES & Ryk Oakley (SEX PISTOL STEVE JONES, KRAUT, UK SUBS) recorded fall 1989 at S&S (KRAUT, SEX PISTOLS' STEVE JONES, BATTALION OF SAINTS' Chris Smith) Studios NYC, and "Three Fists & a Mouthful" 1992, produced by George Barberio recorded summer 1991 at Ocean Gate (ALICE COOPER, NELSON) Studios.
Their material has been released for Twenty-Four (1985-2009) years in United States, Canada, Mexico, Hawaii, Alaska, Europe, Scandinavia, Asia, Australia, Middle East, Africa, Japan and the world over on STRAIGHT-ON(U.S.A.), NEW RED ARCHIVES(U.S.A.), PHD(England), FLAVOUR(Japan), J!MCO(Japan), JICK(Japan), and CLEOPATRA(U.S.A.) record labels.

HH from 1990-2004 appear on 14 LP, Cassette, CD, compilations released Worldwide with heavyweights like G.B.H.,THE DAMNED, JELLO BIAFRA, U.K. SUBS, REAGAN YOUTH, M.D.C., KRAUT, J.F.A.(JODIE FOSTERS ARMY), also NO USE FOR A NAME, SAMIAM, ANTI-FLAG others.

CBGB, which opened on 315 Bowery in the Village in 1973, was instrumental in establishing New York's punk scene of the late 1970s and early 1980s, as well as the American hardcore scene of the mid- and late '80s.

Though CBGB was utilized as a hot spot for touring bands to hit when they came through New York, the scene that kept the bar alive during the 1980s was the underground hardcore scene. Sunday at CBGB was matinee day and "thrash day". Every Sunday a handful of hardcore bands took the stage in the afternoon to dinnertime hours, usually for cheap. The CBGB's matinee became an institution. This went on until early 1990s.
