SAYYOURROSARY (2 months ago)
Blessed Albert the Great who had St. Thomas Aquinas as his disciple learned in a revelation that by simply thinking of or meditating on the passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ, a Christian gains more merit than if he had fasted on bread and water every Friday for a whole year, or had beaten himself with his discipline once in a week until the blood flowed, or had recited the whole book of psalms every day. If this is so, then how great must be the merit that we can gain by the Holy Rosary which commemorates the whole life and passion of Our Savior! (St. Louis De Montfort, The Secret of the Rosary, p. 68.) God Bless you Robert

You were better off in Church court than state court! And even in state court, over the course of the 100 years of the Inquisition history, only 4000 people were sentenced to death! Terrible? Of course! But we've lost more than that in 7 years in the war in Iraq! You need to do yourself a favor and stop swallowing every single google article you read.

"during its Inquisitions"

I suggest taking a high school course in English as well as History. The root for of Inquisition is 'inquiry" Meaning inquisitors were mearly serching for people who spread heresy. If they were found to be a heretic, they were EXCOMMUNICATED.
Now we reach the history part. All of Eurasian governmets were theocracies! Meaning that spreading theologies that went against the state religion was a federal crime! In ANY country! Government trials and Church trials were held seperatly and each had it's own rules. The maximum punishment in Church court was excommunication. In government court, it was either years in prision and or death.

"Read its factual history. "

Oh, you want history now eh? Alright then. The ACTUAL history of the Crusades was that the Byzantine Empire was theatened by the Moorish Seljiuk Turk armies. They conquer the Holy Land and barr Jews and Christians from living there and taking part in any pilgrimage. They then proceed to invade the Byzantine Empire , which only 20 years earlier split from the Western Church. The Byzantine Emperor in panic sent word to the Pope to send aid to his kingdom. The Pope seeking unity once more with the Eastern Church called for the European Christian kingdoms to send forth their armies to save the Byzantine king and reclaim the Holy Land from the Turks.

"why do you belong to an organization/church that worships children's dolls? Really now Robert .... children's dolls!"

Lol! What are you even talking about? Your not smoking illegal substances whilst you rant I hope!

"Now also don't forget that priests use to sell indulgences (yes, Robert your Church "sold" forgiveness for money)"

Individual clergymen took advantage of indulgences and lied about the teaching to their parishiners and lined their pockets with the said collections. Nowhere will you find any offical document or staement by the Church proclaiming that you can buy away your sins with money. The Church never plotted nor recived money from indulgences.

"...one of the biggest embezzlement scandals to hit the American Catholic Church. "

Scandal has occured in every sinlge institution on the face of the earth. You know it, I know it, everyone knows it. I find it hilarious that you make it sound as if scandal and theft has only ever happened in the Catholic Church. Protestant, Mormon, Jehova's Wittnesses, and Muslims have all been prey to isolated incidents by corrupt individuals. Priests are called to a life of humble and meekness in behavior and lifestyle. So what do you expect us to do when one decides to break those rules?
