@grendelee i had to use the kinect because the scripts i created require the Kinect. I agree it isn't being utilized greatly since i'm recording a 2D surface.. But i wasn't about to create new scripts to work with a different input!

@terzis28 Sadly, no. It requires depth information from the glorified 3D scanner that is the Kinect.

@bataichan That's an interesting concept. I saw that someone mounted the kinect onto a roof of a car and generated a decent pointcloud using GPS... hmmmm.. I'll look into this.
