This site is dedicated to documenting railroads in the Northeastern US generally and the Southwestern, Pennsylvania area specifically. There will also be periodic postings of MSTS or Microsoft Train Simulator clips as research, including video taping of local existing infrastructure and railroad activity, continues with the ultimate goal of recreating these lines in a simulation with Microsoft Train Simulator. Periodic unrelated material to the previous mentioned aim may also appear.

Nice AVR vids! You should try and chase the AVR-1. That is a very interesting train to see. Usually lots of engines and lots of cars! Thanks again for the nice AVR vids!

I hit Maple Lane yesterday on the P&OC, very nice spot for echoes.

Yeah that would be a nice pace shot. It's a matter of timing, traffic, etc. I will get it one day. Going into Arden would be better because it would be earlier in the day with less traffic but I would not have the camera on the right (driver) side window. Heading home late afternoon puts a lot of drivers on James Street to shortcut traffic. I am starting to run out of vantage points. Probably time to upgrade to a nice hi def video camera. Any suggestions?

Have you considering doing a pace shot of the P&OC on James Street in Carnegie? Multiple crossings..
