I use Fraps and then convert it with Sony Vegas into MP4 format (Normally 640x480 so "High Quality" is available on Youtube.) and the files roughly come out around 60mb at the end.

Fraps makes them around 4GB though :/ But yeah, Fraps has the best quality and doesn't lag as much as other stuff like Camstudio. You might want to buy/download it, I heard there's a pre-registered version roaming around but I'm a bit scared to check.
