I know how important audio is to my videos so I just pulled the trigger and picked up this Sony UWP Wireless Microphone System.
I start of with an un-boxing of the unit as well as a sniff test and move into an actual test of this unit.
It set up as soon as I turned it on. It just needed one minor setting tweak to dial in the DB settings for my speaking.
I will be using this microphone from here on out in most of my videos.

First things first, Lil is fine and doing extremely well!!!! Over the past few months my family and I have been looking for a senior living facility for Lil. Lil is in great shape for 101 but she also needs care that we are not fully able to provide.
Of course this is not the easiest thing to do but it is the best thing for Lil. There are people around 24-7 not just to help but to also talk with. There are so many activities for the residents to do that it keeps the mind moving and grooving.
Last week when I visited Lil she was walking down the hall with her new walker saying hello to everyone. She is really the only resident there that is not in a wheelchair. She is the oldest in her wing possibly the oldest in the building.
This is a great, safe and clean place for Lil to be and like my dad said in the video, Lil thinks she is in a country club.
If you would like to send Lil a gift feel free to send Tea, puzzle books, letters, cards, drawings but please do not send candy or food.

I love the Kodak Zi8. I use it for all my videos because it is so reliable, easy to use, fits in my handbag and the videos are perfect for the web. However, if I'm somewhere with even a bit of wind the noise of the wind blowing over the microphone is too loud and distracting. In this video I do a bit of an experiment with you watching.
I use a wireless bluetooth mic. It's a SONY and has a little cover on it for windy days
You can hear what it is like when filming from a distance, sound with the mic with and without cover and then contract the sound when I unplug the wireless mic and just use the inbuilt mic.
