It keeps us backwards and erects barriers between cultures and people that need not be there. Limits our mental capacity by impairing our ability to think critically from indoctrination during early brain development, demands respect whilst giving none, serves no practical purpose other than evading tax and fattening the wallets on certain individuals for exploiting the weak-minded whilst actively spreading false hope and bogus medicine to people that could have stood a chance without it.
And of course, promotes bigotry.
