1: they get really boring just watching and listening to you talk (solution) add some quiet background music to the vid, you can do this using things like windows movie maker.
2: what filming program are you using, its pretty terrible. at the moment when i make some occasional videos i use fraps (fraps version 2.9.8 to be precise) and the quality is great.
