The Genesis Factor

Bill Schopf Professor of Paleobiology & Director of IGPP CSEOL: I think one of the key mysteries in the origin of organic material on the early earth is the relationship between the organic material that led to life on earth, the organic material that we see today in the outer solar system in comets and other bodies out there, and the organic material that we see in the inter stellar medium in deep space and interstellar clouds. I think evidence is beginning to accumulate that there's a genetic link between these; that as the solar nebular formed out of interstellar material the outer reaches of the solar nebular were cool enough that this interstellar organic material was able to survive. So, the solar system inherited a load of organic material from its pre-formation state. But only in the outer solar system. The inner solar system was heated so much during the formation of the planets that that organic material is destroyed.

But then there is a very clever mechanism for bringing that organic material from the outer solar system into the inner solar system - and that's comets. And so we end up being able to trace organic material from deep space to the outer solar system through comets. It's a very interesting tie, we may be directly descended from inner stellar organic material more directly than we realise.

Funny for the day...kind of shows you how even with direct evidence...people just won't believe it!

Dr. Tom Gold : Even after we had drilled two holes in Sweden, totally drilled in bedrock only with no sediments, and we pulled up living microbes from a depth of more than 5.2 kilometres, we couldn't even get that published. Although they were cultured in the Swedish National Biological Laboratory, the referee's reports that I saw said, Well since this is impossible we would need much more stronger evidence before we believe the impossible.

For those that don't believe in the Christian faith...fine..I don't care. I won't bug you about mine nor try to force my views on you. I stand against hatred for anyone, regardless of who they are or what they do...while I might 'hate' what they do, I won't 'hate on them' like I see many on here doing. For a Christian to hate others it goes against the teachings of Christ to love each other as He has loved us. Jesus even said to love our enemies! I cannot stand to see a Christian attacking others for whatever reason. Its NOT showing the fruits of the Holy Spirit in them when they do this and goes against Jesus' teachings. SO KNOCK IT OFF!

I don't mind my faith being HONESTLY challenged but rarely is their any honest challenges to it...I am happy to answer those challenges. What I usually see though is lies and twisted truths about our beliefs done in attacking manners. Its as if people cannot find something to truly challenge us with so have to make up stuff. Its stupid. Stop it. Grow up. And I guess that is all I have to say on that...for now.

I wanted to post some information on here for those seeking information about whether the bible is true or just a bunch of made up stories. I cannot put links on the post on video's so I am hoping to put them on here.

Good question......was Jesus Christ just a CopyCat Savior Myth?

This is from the Christianthinktank...he answers some hard questions on there and is extremely long winded because he goes into great depths and detail...I can't image after one reads one of his long articles they would have too many questions left (at least on that one subject they are reading on).

Whatever your beliefs are in regards to evolution...putting down other Christians for believing in this only causes divisions between us which is not a good thing. I personally do not believe the idea of evolution but I am not going to bash others for having this belief as it only pushes them away from God and not too Him. Let God deal with each person on this on a individual bases so we may keep the peace between us.
