Hello Martzata,

Some days ago I saw your video "VOLCANO ERUPTION IN ICELAND. 24.03.2010".
It's very interesting. Could you said me where is his provenience? Which archive has this video?

Thank you very much for your help!

Oops, I meant a "stable area," where farm families can relocate and ride out the disaster. They need help renting farms or part of farmland and barns with what livestock could be relocated. They might need a charity just to pay the cost of 18 wheelers to haul livestock to other areas of the country. They likely could afford to rent a new place but not haul the animals, so that is where the charity can help them. We have "Farm Aid" type charities in the US. not just the government loans and grants to farmers taking losses.

Also, is there an Icelandic Red Cross or relief agency to help with the relocation of farm families and their animals? Getting them out of there while this activity is going on and having them set up in a stable are seems critical. People are getting used to the level of activity and returning to the area, and it's likely not safe at all. I hope that even the researchers are alright. It's been a huge shock to see this area completely re-formed and changed.

It's astounding we know so little about Iceland's volcanoes scientifically. The EU would do well to form an EU Commission to coordinate the study of Iceland's volcanic activity. It could be a sort of CDC to fund promising studies and do its own independent inquiries into areas of public interest that the private and academic world hasn't been able to sustain. The whole question of how much seismic activity Katla would be expected to show or not show before an eruption is a critical one to all of Europe, for example. Great job in every respect Martzata. Please post more soon.
