TeamFILO (www.TeamFILO.org) is dormant now, but this channel holds pieces from its past, so a history is warranted: FILO originated in the theater of the street, amidst a vicious political economy promising dividends in ecological catastrophe. Misdirected filial piety forced bright kids into unimaginative life tracks. Disruption of these paths was not meant as an implicit criticism of "solid" choices in favor of some nonconformist cliche; it was simply an acknowledgment that some mainstream choices for young adults are empty of joy and dignity. FILO's innovation was to combat this by returning targets to 6th grade sleepover head, with all the cozy junk food imagination orgies that suggests. Recharged pre-adolescent prank momentum was shown to weaken chemical dependence and box-job induced malaise.

Besides extracting souls from the money-death maze, FILO strove to reconcile opposite poles of mood resonance. This transposed the ancient notion of dyscrasia into aesthetic terms. The explicative pinnacle of these theories was reached with the Weenus Teaching Loop.

Luke's solo work continues to be informed by these FILO core tenets. The Weenus theories are interpreted as useful guides for employing contrasts. (example: The bleach-blond skydiving riffs of a sawed-off guitar sit well over the airy, icy clean sound and schmaltzy emotional transport of a Christopher Cross hit.)
