Born in Bellingham, Washington, 11 December 1946. Grew up in Yakima, WA, now residing in Spanaway WA. Served in the US Air Force 1966-70, AFSC 57150 (Fire protection Specialist) and US Army, 1977-88, PMOS 94B30 (Food Service Sergeant) SMOS 51M30 (Fire Protection Sergeant) Stationed in Libya, North Carolina, Kentucky, Germany, Korea, and Washington State. Retired with disability in 1988.
It may surprise some people to know that even professional soldiers can be liberal Democrats, and I am one of them. I think that the last seven years have shown how inept some Republicans can be in times of crisis.
I do not readily tolerate racists or religous bigots, especially those who seem uninformed of the subjects they address. Fake veterans will be asked to perform difficult, humiliating and painful acts on themselves. And, if you are not a poet and have a grudge against me for my political or racial views, don't slam my poetry. Your remarks will be deleted, as will all racist comments.
I began wirting poetry in 2005, driven partly by the need to adopt an alternate personna for an interesting and creative job.
I'm still learning, which, at my age, is a good thing. When you stop learning, you are not really living life to its fullest.
