It's important for the people of the world to know that we are an independent tribe in the interior of the province recently named 'british columbia.' At no point did the british conquer or seize our lands by means of treaty, war, or agreement. We have cared for these lands since Creation and we will defend it for the rest of time.
About Me:

British Columbia is unique in that the native people have never surrendered nor sold their territories, therefore making any business in that area ILLEGAL.

What lovely music and what great quotes. This is empowering for women of the world. Period. Thank you so much!!! Your work is appreciated. My best, Moppet (Barbara) p.s. I have a really bad memory, so if you have visited or 'chatted' with me I am sorry. I am not stuck up. Just having major memory problems. Moppet.

Our children need to learn to speak our
language and to learn our ways. I am so afraid that, in the future, our children and their children will not be able to reply when someone asks them "Who are you? Who are your ancestors?" and people will wonder who they are...

March 21, the International Day for the Elimination of Racism, marks the
anniversary of the 1960 Sharpeville Massacre in South Africa when police
opened fire on hundreds of South Africans protesting against Apartheid's
passbook laws, killing 67 and wounding 186.

Im trying to help women in our indigenous communities feel safe giving birth. I spend a lot of time reading, writing and researching childbirth so i can help women with pregnancy, birth, healthy eating, post partum depression, healthy exercise and well being. I use youtube for music and helpful hints I think my friends, and birth mothers may find useful.

The Ministry of Child and Family Development (MCFD) has forcibly removed many children from their families, especially from single mothers, poor families, Indigenous communities, and from parents who were themselves caught in the vicious cycle of foster homes. There are currently more Indigenous children in the child welfare system than there were in the residential school system. Thousands of mothers and families are enduring surveillance and scrutiny instead of receiving support.
